2. Your Student Bill for Fall 2007

The Student Accounts Office is moving to an on-line format for Student Bills. The Fall 2007 semester bill for students is expected to be available on –line at the http://busi.binghamton.edu website soon after July 9, 2007. Watch for e-mail notification to your Binghamton.edu e-mail account of the Fall 2007 semester bill after July 9th. Student Accounts will no longer send a paper billing packet to your permanent address. As of the Fall 2007 all bill notifications will be sent to your Binghamton University email address, including Time Payment Plan installment bills.

The due date for payment of fees and/or tuition will be WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2007 for ALL students. Please note that any student who does not return the bill by August 15 will be charged an administrative fee of $30.

Exceptions are extremely rare. It is the student's responsibility to make sure that payment is made on time; if you have questions, contact the office of Student Accounts. Their e-mail address is stuaccts@binghamton.edu

Students who hold tuition scholarships are still responsible for student fees, which must be paid by the August 15 deadline as well. If you do not feel you can afford to pay your fees on time, please contact the Student Accounts Office prior to the August 15 deadline to discuss a time-payment plan. Simply ignoring the August 15 deadline will result in having to pay the Administrative Fee ($30) and, eventually cancellation of your registration.

For information on rates, go to: http://www.binghamton.edu/studentaccounts/rates.htm

For questions regarding your student bill, please contact the Office of Student Accounts at stuaccts@binghamton.edu or visit their website at http://www.binghamton.edu/studentaccounts/index.htm

The Office of Student Accounts can also be reached by telephone at: 607-777-2702 or by fax at 607-777-2053.

3. Are You a J-1 Student? Are You Working On-Campus This Summer or in the Fall?

If you are an international student in J-1 status, the Office of International Student and Scholar Services would like to remind you that all on-campus employment for J-1s must be authorized in advance by your J-1 sponsor. The sponsor is the agency or institution listed in item 2 of the DS-2019. If your program sponsor is Binghamton University, the ISSS makes it easy for you to fulfill your employment authorization responsibilities by having an internet link where you may request the required authorization letter. Just go to: http://isss.binghamton.edu/emp/jempframe.htm

4. International Student Festival Logo Contest Ends July 5

The deadline for entries to the International Student Festival Logo Contest is July 5. There is still time to submit, and maybe win the prize! Visit: http://isss.binghamton.edu/prog/contest.html for full instructions.
